Drop N Merge merge puzzle guide
Drop N Merge is inspired by drop-and-place puzzles (like 1010! or Blockudoku): you drop blocks or tiles onto a grid, and when two with the same number touch, they merge. There is no full-grid swipe—you choose where each new piece lands. The merge rule is still 2048 (same + same = double), but the strategy is about placement and predicting where the next piece will create a merge.
How to play Drop N Merge
Drop tiles or blocks onto the grid; when two adjacent tiles have the same number, they merge into one with double the value. You usually cannot move tiles after placement, so each drop must be planned. New pieces appear after each move. The challenge is placing pieces so that merges happen in a useful order and you do not fill the grid before reaching 2048.
Tips to improve quickly in Drop N Merge
Leave a dedicated zone for your largest tile and drop new pieces so they feed into that zone. Avoid closing off corners early. If you get a 2 and a 4, try to drop them where they can eventually merge with existing tiles rather than in isolation.
